Job Description: Warehouse Security Guard
Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse, employees, visitors, inventory, and property. The guard will perform standard security duties, monitor access, respond to incidents, and conduct frequent foot patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and access points. Verify employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel as required. Conduct frequent foot patrols of the warehouse, parking areas, and exterior perimeter. Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns. Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and disturbances. Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems when assigned. Enforce facility security and access-control procedures. Report damaged or compromised security equipment and property. Communicate professionally with management, employees, and emergency personnel.
Requirements: Valid BSIS Guard Card. Valid California identification. Military veteran preferred. Previous security experience preferred. Professional appearance and strong communication skills are mandatory. Reliable, alert, and able to work independently. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct frequent foot patrols. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Must be able to respond appropriately to security and safety incidents.
Work Environment: Active warehouse environment with regular exposure to warehouse operations, vehicle traffic, noise, varying temperatures, and outdoor conditions. Frequent walking and foot patrols are an essential function of the position.
