About the role
- Evans City, PAPay Range $20.00- $25.00/hour (DOE)
- What's the Job?
- Assist an experienced mechanic with the repair and maintenance of mining equipment, including gearboxes, sprockets, and hydraulic components.
- Clean parts, perform equipment teardowns, and prepare components for inspection and assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain basic work logs and support shop organization and safety initiatives.
- Operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment as needed to move materials and equipment.
- What's Needed?
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
- Previous forklift experience is preferred; training and certification will be provided.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
