About the role
- Read blueprints, instructions, and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
- Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding and covering fixtures
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, and taping off areas as required
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials
- Mix paint and other materials to achieve the correct color and texture
- Paint surfaces according to specifications using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools
- Apply varnishes, sealants, and other finishes
- Adhere to all company health and safety regulations
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and company vehicles
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation
- Other projects and duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1+ years of professional painting experience
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
- Construction, restoration, or insurance industry experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- English language literacy and communication skills required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Clean driving record required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Occasional lifting from 540 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, and move throughout the workday as needed
- Manual dexterity required for repetitive tasks and use of painting tools/equipment
