Role Description:
The Senior Operations Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring organizational efficiency across programs, administration, and stakeholder services. This position manages internal processes, develops and implements operational policies, and coordinates cross-functional workflows that support community initiatives. The Senior Operations Manager leads planning for budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics, and monitors progress against organizational goals. The role involves supervising and mentoring team members, optimizing use of technology and systems, and maintaining clear documentation and reporting. The individual in this role also collaborates with leadership on strategic projects, supports compliance with relevant regulations, and strengthens relationships with community partners and vendors.
Qualifications:
Strong operations management skills, including process design, workflow optimization, and performance monitoring. Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination, preferably in nonprofit or community-focused settings. Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., office suites, project management software, CRM or membership systems).Demonstrated ability to lead teams, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. Solid financial acumen, including familiarity with budgeting, reporting, and resource planning. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through in a remote work environment. Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Experience in neighborhood associations, community development, or civic engagement is highly beneficial. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and transparent decision-making in community-focused work.
