Job Description: Drum Set Instructor, Part-Time | $17–$22 per hour Bach to Rock Herndon is looking for a drummer who loves teaching. Our drum students are waiting, and we'd love to meet you.
About us: Bach to Rock (B2R) Herndon is a performance-based music school where students of all ages learn the music they love: private lessons, real bands, a recording studio, camps, and big-stage events like Battle of the Bands. Our instructors are trained musicians and working performers.
What you'll do: Teach private drum-set lessons to kids, teens, and adults using the B2R curriculum, built around the songs students want to play Build solid fundamentals (time, technique, reading, groove) in a fun, encouraging way Track progress, assign practice, and keep parents in the loop Help students get ready for bands and performances Optional: coach student bands
What you bring: Strong drum-set technique and the ability to read drum notation Patience, warmth, reliability, and the ability to explain things simply Performance experience; teaching experience (especially with kids) is a big plus Availability for at least 2 weekday afternoon/evening (3–9 pm) or Saturday shifts per week 18 or older Pay$17–$22 per hour, based on teaching experience, instruments taught, and your audition and demo lesson.
