About the role

Operator I, Production Pride Staff is currently hiring for an Operator to assist with the assembly and testing of components used in the manufacturing of fiber optic gyroscopes in Tinley Park, IL.
Job Type: Full Time, non-exempt
Location: Tinley Park, IL (100% onsite)
Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities: Prepare components to specific fiber lengths by measuring and using a mechanical fiber stripper and cleaver. Splice fiberoptic fiber. Pack delicate components inside a gyro housing. Use electronic power supplies, benchtop meters, and measuring equipment. Measure basic splice characteristics and log data into a PC system.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant or similar experience is preferred. Ability to remain at a workstation for extended periods of time during each scheduled shift. Practice safe operating procedures, keep the work area clean, and report all safety hazards. Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Export Control Requirements: Separate from employment eligibility, U.S. export license requirements may apply before certain non-"U.S. persons" can access specific technology, software, and hardware necessary for this position. As such, this position may require ITAR or EAR clearance. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00 Per Hour
