About the role
We are supporting a leading global bank on the appointment of a Lending Documentation professional for a permanent role, supporting the bank’s lending businesses across both standard and non-standard documentation.
This is a role within the bank’s lending function, acting as a business partner to the lending businesses and supporting a broad range of bilateral, syndicated and complex lending transactions.
Reviewing bespoke and externally prepared documentation for complex and syndicated lending transactions
Checking documentation against credit approvals, bank policies and operational risk requirements
Drafting and negotiating bilateral committed and uncommitted facility, security and parental support documentation
Drafting and negotiating local and global guarantees
Setting and collating conditions precedent and subsequent
Coordinating with internal and external counsel on capacity and authority opinions
Drafting corporate resolutions and reviewing constitutional documents
Working closely with legal, client delivery and business teams to ensure documentation is completed and formally handed over
Supporting the lending documentation team target operating model and driving process improvements
5+ years’ experience in bank-side credit/lending documentation or equivalent experience
Strong experience drafting and negotiating bilateral facility, security and guarantee documentation
Good working knowledge of conditions precedent, legal opinions and corporate authorities
Strong understanding of lending documentation processes and credit documentation
Experience working with Legal, business teams and external counsel
Syndicated lending experience is a plus
Demonstrable experience driving process improvements
Commercial, pragmatic and confident working with senior stakeholders
