This is an ideal role for an ambitious engineer who is ready to take on a new challenge and elevate their impact beyond individual project execution. You’ll have the autonomy to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and serve as a key point of contact as the group continues to grow in DFW. Success in this role positions you for long-term leadership and expanded responsibility as the regional footprint scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support substation engineering efforts across a variety of utility and infrastructure projects
- Provide technical oversight and quality control for substation design deliverables
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, helping develop technical and professional skills
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to support workload planning and execution
- Help establish and refine engineering workflows, standards, and best practices
- Serve as a trusted technical and leadership presence within the DFW region
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of overall engineering experience in power delivery or related fields 5+ years of hands‑on substation design experience
- Strong technical foundation across substation physical design and related engineering disciplines
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or acting in a technical lead/ informal supervisory capacity
- Self‑driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a growing environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership mindsetPE highly preferred
