About the role

We are partnering with a leading energy company to hire an experienced Energy Analyst to support a growing portfolio of renewable generation assets and power contracts. This role is responsible for managing PPA settlements, coordinating contract obligations, reconciling invoices, and providing financial and operational reporting across North American power markets.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor North American power market activity and industry developments relevant to renewable energy assets. Perform PPA contract administration by tracking, reporting and ensuring the fulfilment of contractual obligations such as output and availability targets and guarantees. This includes regular interaction and coordination with a variety of groups within the organization. Execute monthly/quarterly Renewable Energy Certificate (RECs) transfers and oversee invoicing to counterparties for each power plant. Manage settlement activities and contractual obligations associated with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).Track contract performance, Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) transfers, invoicing, and settlement reconciliations. Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies through analysis and collaboration with internal teams and external counterparties. Support monthly financial reporting, audit requests, and regulatory compliance activities. Partner with commercial, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accurate settlement and reporting processes.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.3+ years of experience in power markets, energy settlements, or energy contract administration. Working knowledge of North American ISO/RTO markets (e.g. PJM, ERCOT, MISO, NYISO, CAISO, ISO-NE, SPP, AESO).Experience with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and invoice reconciliation. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
