About the role
Ideal candidates will possess Leadership qualities, possess the ability to logically work through open issues, understand the general market and trends and provide strategic feedback to all departments in the organization allowing for accurate and concise decision making. Primary Job Duties:Total commercial ownership on new and current business for assigned accounts (preferable JOEMs). Responsible to achieve sales revenue and business growth targets as defined by the yearly business plan. Act as liaison between customer and DE. On time and accurate preparation of quotes for new items (or major changes). Lead negotiations and communicate cost and timing to customer. Prepare and give customer presentations.· Internal sales related activities such as – price changes with internal formats, developing a business case and cost break down sheets, working with internal customers to track tooling recovery and disposal items, track and recover accounts receivables, follow up on quality or material delivery concerns. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Provide periodically needed management reports related to customer activity. Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.· Build relationships with customers at different levels, in different departments, and at locations to support current and future business.· If needed, travel to customer locations or DE West Virginia in support of product development (start to finish) for product reviews, testing, and change updates with periodic travel with customer to company manufacturing facilities (domestic and international).· Serve as a supporting role to Japanese customers contacts in North America and Japan. Due the nature of Japanese business, sporadic late meetings support will be needed. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s preferred.· Highly Skilled at Microsoft Office (Excell, Power Point, Word)· Mindset: Great service attitude. Organization: Proficiency in time management and organizational tasks. Creativity: Ability to develop and deliver customized presentations. Relationship Management: Excellent skills in building and nurturing relationships, with a willingness to receive feedback.· Demonstration of analytical skills to handle reasonably complex situations at both the micro and macro levels. · Written and verbal communication skills to interpret and/or discuss technical or sensitive information with internal and external customers along with discretion in deciding what and how to communicate. Strong business acumen and ability to lead across functions. Experience in Automotive industry desired.· Experience with Japanese business practices and culture preferred but not required.
