Job Description: Tool and Die MakerA well-established manufacturing facility in Lake Zurich, IL is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to support operations through precise tooling, maintenance, and press setup work. Requirements of the Tool and Die Maker Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gages, and pin gages Proficient understanding of GD&THands-on experience with mills, grinders, drill presses, band saws, and lathes Ability to independently set up a variety of stamping presses in a production environment Must provide own hand tools Responsibilities of the Tool and Die Maker Manage and execute preventative maintenance (PM) activities for tooling, following established work instructions and schedules Maintain and update die spare parts lists to ensure necessary items are stocked and available Diagnose and resolve tooling issues on the production floor with minimal downtime Collaborate with engineering teams to support the build of new tools, fixtures, and components based on customer requirements Perform punch press setups and adjustments as needed 1st and 2nd shift available, DIRECT HIREPay is $42.00 - $45.00 an hour, based on experience*If you have an open application with Matthews Professional Employment, Inc., please express your interest in this position to your consultant*Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools may be used in some portions of the candidate review process for this position, however, all employment decisions will be made by a person
