About the role

Synergy Search is partnering with a well-established, growing organization to find an experienced partnership tax professional.
What you'll do: Prepare and review complex partnership returns (Form 1065) and related schedules, including K-1s, K-2s and K-3sModel and review partnership allocations under IRC §704(b), including capital account maintenance, substantial economic effect and target allocations Analyze and apply §754 elections Evaluate interest expense deductibility under IRC §163, including §163(j) business interest limitation calculations and carryforwards Advise on transactions such as partner admissions, redemptions, transfers and restructurings Mentor junior team members and review their work
What we're looking for: 5+ years of partnership tax experience in public accounting, a law firm or industry Strong working knowledge of §§163, 704(b) and 754, and the ability to explain them clearly to non-tax stakeholders Experience with real estate, private equity, investment funds or operating partnerships is a plus Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with tax software (e.g., CCH, GoSystem, One Source) is helpful What's offered: Base Salary to 150K + Bonus Hybrid work environment Comprehensive benefits and a clear path for advancement Exposure to sophisticated, high-impact tax work Interested candidates can apply directly here or email your resume to Gary.
