About the role
Machining, fabrication, and assembly shop that services many industries including power, paper, steel, and OEM. We are seeking a machinist for our facility with the ability to run CNC as well as manual machines. The position provides an opportunity to work with a variety of components and materials and provides a key role in the companys ability to successfully meet customer cost, quality, and delivery expectations. MUST HAVE MANUAL LATHE EXPERIENCERequires 5+ years of experience
Responsibilities:
- Run jobs on the machine tools as requiredCoordinate jobs with other departments
- Complete daily time tickets
- Be able to move from one work station to another as requiredCoordinate tooling with supervisors
- Perform all other duties assigned or requested by the shop supervisors
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment
- Perform machining with high quality
- Represent Client at all times
- Help instill safety and positive practices and attitudes
- Occasional work in other departments of company
- Enforce company policy and safety manual
- Be willing to be flexible in work schedule and possible overtime
Qualifications:
- Knowledge in mechanical design
- Excellent individual communication skills
- Ability to continue learning on new machines
- Problem-solving skills.
- Decision-making abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Attention to detail.
