About the role
Opportunity Overview ASAP start based on standard credentialing, approximately 90 days 1.0 FTE, with 0.75 FTE outpatient and 0.25 FTE inpatient 6-month assignment Coverage needed due to a gap Open to 2 locums providers working opposite schedules Training and proctoring available Schedule & Coverage Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM 8-hour shifts Hospital privileges Inpatient and outpatient 450-bed facility No call No rounding or admissions Young adults through elderly Approximately 8-10 patients per day Clinical Details Perform fluoroscopic studies with support from radiologic technologists
Required: Esophagram
Upper GI Upper GI small bowel follow-through Modified barium swallow in collaboration with Speech Pathology
Preferred: Single-contrast barium enema
Air-contrast barium enema Operate fluoroscopy equipment with technologist support Provide final interpretations and sign reports Supervising radiologist provides oversight and random chart audits No additional interventional radiology procedures required Radiology physicians provide training and proctoring
Requirements:
Physician Assistant / APP BLS certification EPIC Documentation of 100 representative clinical cases within the past 24 months At least 5 of each required procedure type within the past 24 months Washington license not required initially due to the standard credentialing timeline Must be able to independently perform required studies after training Modified barium swallow experience should include collaboration with Speech Pathology Candidates who need additional procedure experience may be eligible for proctoring and sign-off for credentialing.
