About the role

Shop Assistant The ComTran Group is a full-service provider of infrastructure construction services to the energy and communication industry with committed values to safety, quality, and customer service. We are looking for a dependable and self-motivated Shop Assistant to support daily operations in a busy mechanic shop. This position plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting mechanics with general shop tasks. Clean and maintain the mechanic shop, bays, and work areas Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the shop Wash and detail vehicles, equipment, and parts Load and unload materials and equipment Assist mechanics with general shop support duties Operate a forklift as needed (training available) Follow safety procedures and maintain shop cleanliness and organization Forklift experience preferred but not required Mechanically inclined or comfortable working around vehicles and equipment Strong attention to detail Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs overhead Ability to stand, walk, bend, and change positions frequently Comfortable with continuous movement and physical work throughout the shift$18 to $20 per hour based on experience 401(k)401(k) matching Weekly pay Over Time potential Year-round work Per diem if the work site requires travel Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible Spending Account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
