About the role
Subject Matter Expert For Nonmetallic Materials You will hold the position of Subject Matter Expert for Nonmetallic Materials. You will develop, select, introduce, and provide life-cycle support of non-metallic materials for shipboard applications. You will develop and implement specifications, standards, guidance and other engineering documents that support non-metallic materials. You will coordinate with other technical and program authorities for requirements development and implementation. You will interface with communities to identify and prioritize efforts to advance understanding of non-metallic materials. You will represent NAVSEA 05 within and outside of the Department of Navy as SEA 05's subject matter expert on non-metallic materials. You will provide technical input into non-metallic material applications and processes.
