About the role

Lube ManagerThe Lube Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations and long-term success of the lube service department at Spotless Brands locations where applicable. As the on-site lube business leader, the Lube Manager is accountable for driving shop volume, growing sales, managing profitability, and ensuring the highest level of service quality and safety.The Lube Manager oversees all aspects of the Lube operation, including team member performance, customer satisfaction, inventory management, and compliance with manufacturer recommendations and safety protocols. This role requires direct technical knowledge and the ability to perform both Lube Technician and Service Advisor duties, while leading and developing a high-performing team.The Lube Manager reports directly to the District Manager and maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship with the General Manager to ensure alignment with daily site operations and consistent customer experience. This dual reporting structure supports strong coordination across departments and reinforces shared accountability for operational success.Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)Operational Leadership & Financial PerformanceDrive volume growth and increase revenue and profitability in the lube departmentExecute daily operational procedures to ensure efficient and quality service deliveryManage labor costs, control expenses, and track key performance indicatorsOpen and close the lube department in accordance with company standards and operational protocolsParticipates in shop maintenance duties such as pit cleaning, fluid spill cleanup, and disposal of used materials to uphold safety and cleanliness standardsPerforms other duties as assigned, including operational and cleaning tasks that support site, shop, or store upkeepTeam Management & DevelopmentLead hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management, in partnership with HR, of all lube department team membersFoster a positive and inclusive work environment focused on safety, teamwork, and accountabilityDevelop and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve performance goalsEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures, administering corrective actions as neededDrive a "One Team" Spotless Brand culture by leading daily operations with consistency, promoting collaboration, and guiding the team through change initiativesCustomer Service & SalesAssist customers by providing clear, professional, and timely responses to inquiries and concernsPerform service advisor duties, including recommending additional vehicle or car wash services, where applicableEnsure all services are delivered with a customer-first mindset to drive retention and satisfactionTechnical Expertise & Shop MaintenancePerform Lube Technician duties as needed, including oil changes and other light maintenance servicesEnsure all team members follow manufacturer recommendations and technical service standardsMaintain proper use and storage of tools, lube dispensing equipment, and other shop assetsSafety, Compliance, & CommunicationUphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment that complies with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standardsEnsure team members wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, protective footwear, and skin protectionMonitor exposure to oil, maintenance chemicals, and environmental hazards, following all safety protocolsMaintain regular communication with the District Manager regarding shop performance, employee relations, financial updates, and training participationAdditional ResponsibilitiesAttend company training and meetings to stay current with operational and technical standardsPerform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the lube department and company objectivesEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in automotive services preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance, lube shop, or similar environmentMinimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role within a customer-facing service operationProven experience in team management, inventory control, and customer service deliveryStrong understanding of oil change procedures, vehicle maintenance best practices, and manufacturer recommendationsMinimum of 18 years of age due to equipment and regulatory requirementsValid driver's license required;
