Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Description: We are currently hiring dependable and hardworking individuals for a Green Chain Puller position at a local lumber mill in Monroe. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position working on a fast-paced lumber production line. You will be responsible for pulling freshly cut lumber from the green chain, sorting and stacking boards, inspecting lumber for quality, and helping keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities: Pull lumber from the moving green chain conveyor Sort and stack lumber according to size, grade, and production requirements Visually inspect lumber for defects and quality Remove damaged or defective boards as needed Maintain a steady pace to keep up with production Follow all safety procedures and production standards Keep the work area clean and organized Assist with other general mill duties as needed
Qualifications: Previous lumber mill, manufacturing, warehouse, or heavy labor experience is preferred but not required Must be comfortable performing physical labor throughout the entire shift Ability to repeatedly lift, pull, carry, and maneuver lumber weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and reach for extended periods Strong attention to detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation to the job site Schedule & Pay Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM$19.50/hour Additional $1.50/hour attendance incentive may be earned with perfect attendance
