About the role
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support daily quality operations in a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, resolving quality issues, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific standards.
Responsibilities:
Support daily quality assurance and continuous improvement activities. Develop and maintain PPAPs, Control Plans, PFMEAs, inspection plans, and containment plans. Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions using 8D methodology. Conduct capability studies, SPC analysis, and quality audits. Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned customers. Support APQP activities and customer product launches. Investigate customer returns and ensure timely issue resolution. Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to improve quality and process performance.
Qualifications:
3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8DExperience with IATF 16949 quality systems Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree with relevant automotive experience will be considered
