About the role
We offer several ways to get involved, depending on your interests and comfort level: Level 1 – Barn Support Assisting with grooming, feeding, stall care, and general horse handling. This is a great entry point for volunteers who want hands-on experience with our horses. Level 2 – Session Support Helping during therapeutic riding sessions by leading horses or serving as a sidewalker to support riders. Volunteers at this level play an important role in ensuring safety and confidence for our participants. Level 3 – Program & Event Support Assisting with special events, community outreach, administrative tasks, and program logistics. This level is ideal for volunteers who enjoy organization, planning, or public engagement. Each level offers meaningful ways to contribute, and we provide training to help volunteers feel confident and prepared. You can volunteer as little or as much as you want and can progress through the volunteering levels as quickly as you choose.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
