About the role
- Perform in-process inspections of tobacco products on the production floor
- Inspect packaging to ensure it meets quality standards
- Learn product and packaging specifications and apply them during inspections
- Identify defects or non-conforming product and report concerns to operators and team members
- Record inspection results accurately using forms
- Enter inspection data into ExcelFollow all safety and quality procedures while working in a manufacturing environment
- Communicate with operators and team members about inspection results Plain Language: A Quality Inspector Intern will:
- Check tobacco products to make sure they look right and meet quality rules
- Learn what a “perfect pack” looks like and use that during inspections
- Check cigarettes and packaging (like packs and cartons) to make sure it is correct
- Look for problems like damage, defects, or mistakes
- Tell a team member if something does not look right
- Write down what you find during inspections
- Enter information into a computer system
