About the role
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, annual report, and other external financial disclosures• Manage quarterly and annual SEC reporting timelines, coordinate deliverables across the organization, and drive reporting matters through completion• Prepare and review supporting schedules, financial reporting documentation, disclosure checklists, and other filing materials• Coordinate reporting inputs to ensure accurate and timely filings• Research U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, new accounting standards, regulatory developments, and peer-company disclosures to support financial reporting conclusions• Support the quarterly earnings process and the company’s disclosure controls• Partner with Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, Internal Audit, external auditors, and finance teams across the organization• Drive continuous improvement across the reporting process by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve accuracy and efficiency• Balance recurring SEC reporting responsibilities with special projects and other financial reporting initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field• CPA strongly preferred• 6+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or a large publicly traded company• Strong experience with SEC financial reporting, including 10-K and 10-Q preparation and related disclosures• Experience operating at the manager level or as a senior ready to step into management.• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, financial statement disclosures, and internal-control requirements• Experience preparing, reviewing, or coordinating external financial reporting and disclosure materials• Ability to manage multiple reporting workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders in a complex organization• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret accounting guidance and regulatory requirements• Experience working directly with external auditors and senior leadership• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and other business functions• Ability to identify process improvements and translate them into practical reporting efficiencies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting experience• Experience supporting publicly traded clients or working within a public-company financial reporting function• Combination of Big 4/public accounting and industry experience• Previous experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings, particularly 10-K and 10-Q filings• Workiva experience strongly preferred• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and automation used to improve financial reporting processes• Experience with statutory reporting• CPA or other professional accounting certification
