Country Manager

About the role
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Country Manager – USA to take full commercial and operational responsibility for our US telecommunications business. The Country Manager will operate as the senior executive responsible for the market, with end-to-end P&L ownership and accountability for revenue, profitability, subscriber growth, sales and distribution, product, pricing, CVM, marketing, customer experience and operational performance. This is a highly commercial leadership position. We require someone who understands how to acquire, monetise and retain mobile subscribers at scale, rather than a generalist executive without direct telecom experience. Key Responsibilities:
Own the full USA P&L, annual business plan, budget, revenue, EBITDA and cash performance.
Deliver aggressive subscriber acquisition, revenue and market-share growth.
Lead the US prepaid and postpaid mobile strategy, including propositions, bundles, pricing and promotional activity.
Build and optimise retail, dealer, distributor, indirect, direct and digital/e-commerce sales channels.
Drive SIM/eSIM activations, gross additions and active subscriber growth.
Own key commercial KPIs including ARPU, churn, acquisition cost, lifetime value, retention and channel productivity.
Develop pricing and CVM strategies to increase customer value and reduce churn.
Lead national and regional sales & distribution execution, including dealer economics, commissions and incentives.
Develop propositions relevant to key US consumer segments, including value-conscious and international-calling customers.
Oversee product, digital, CRM, marketing and customer acquisition activity.
Work closely with network/wholesale partners and ensure strong commercial and operational performance from underlying carrier relationships.
Ensure compliance with applicable US telecom, consumer and regulatory requirements.
Lead and develop the US management team across commercial and operational functions.
Establish clear performance targets and hold functional leaders accountable for delivery.
Identify underperforming channels, products and territories and implement rapid corrective action.
Provide regular business and financial performance reporting to Group leadership and the Board.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
