Graphic Designer
startup in stealth modeDenver (CO)
About the role
Location: Los Angeles or Miami, preferred / Remote
Reports to: Creative/Art Director Email to apply: hello@contebeauty.com
About Us:
We're a new beauty brand ripe to disrupt, currently in stealth, launching this fall.
The Opportunity:
This is a founding-team seat, not a job req. The website, the first campaign, the first social template someone screenshots - those are yours to design, and they'll set the visual bar this brand lives by long after launch day. That kind of ground-floor ownership is rare, and it comes with a real ask: we need someone who already has the hard skills: typography, layout, systems thinking, speed without sloppiness, to move fast and produce work at a prestige level, because there's no large team above you to catch what slips through. If you've been waiting for the version of your career where you're not executing someone else's guidelines but helping write the ones a brand will use for years, this is that moment.
The Role:
We're looking for a versatile, detail-obsessed Graphic Designer to help bring our visual world to life across every touchpoint: digital, social, campaign, and beyond. You'll work closely with the Creative/Art Director to execute a design system that's as considered as the brands we admire, translating concepts and mood boards into polished, production-ready work on tight timelines. This is a hands-on craft role at a brand where design quality is non-negotiable. You'll partner with Social, Influencer, and Digital teams to make sure everything we put into the world, however small, looks and feels like it belongs.
What You'll Do:
Design across digital, social templates, content, email, web assets, paid media, and campaign materials, always within the brand system Translate concepts, mood boards, and verbal direction from the Creative/Art Director into clean, production-ready layouts Maintain and evolve brand guidelines and templates as the visual system matures from stealth through launch Partner with Social and Influencer to produce fast-turnaround, on-brand assets for always-on content needs Support photo/video shoots with pre-production materials (shot lists, mood boards, styling references) and post-production asset prep Keep an obsessive eye on typography, spacing, color, and finish - the details that separates "fine" from "beautiful"Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without letting quality slip
What We're Looking For:
Required 3+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brand environments (in-house or agency)A portfolio that shows strong typography, layout, and systems thinking - not just one-off pretty pictures Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma Ability to work within and extend an established brand system faithfully, while still bringing ideas Strong self-management: comfortable with ambiguity, fast timelines, and minimal oversight in a startup environment Sharp eye for premium design: you notice a half-pixel misalignment before anyone else does
Nice to Have:
Packaging design experience, including working with print vendors and production files Basic motion graphics or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere, Cap Cut, or similar)Experience designing for a brand pre-launch or through a rebrandA personal design point of view shaped by beauty and lifestyle brands that build immersive worlds, not just product lines Illustration or hand-lettering skills
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
