Role Description:
The Insurance Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, FL. This role involves meeting with prospective and existing clients to assess coverage needs, explain policy options, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions across personal and commercial lines. Daily tasks include generating quotes, processing applications, maintaining accurate client records, and following up on leads provided by the agency or developed through networking and outreach. The Insurance Sales Representative responds to inquiries, handles policy changes and renewals, and collaborates with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery. The role requires consistent in-person engagement, professional communication, and goal-oriented sales activities to support the agency’s growth.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Insurance Sales and Sales skills to effectively identify client needs, present solutions, and close business.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to provide responsive, courteous, and solutions-focused support to all clients.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage to navigate policy options, underwriting requirements, and carrier guidelines.4-40 or 2-20 Florida Insurance license (or eligibility to obtain one promptly) is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
Comfort with basic office technology, agency management systems, and digital tools for quoting and documentation.
Proven ability to work in an on-site team environment and manage multiple client priorities at once.
Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or consultative sales is beneficial.
