About the role
- Perform construction staking and layout for earthwork, utilities, roadways, bridges, and site development projects
- Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and project coordinate systems
- Operate GPS (RTK), robotic total stations, data collectors, and related survey equipment
- Interpret civil plans, specifications, and CAD files to translate design into accurate field layout
- Verify grades, elevations, alignments, and slopes to ensure work is built within design tolerances
- Conduct topographic surveys, boundary verification (as needed), and existing condition documentation
- Provide quantity tracking support and assist with progress measurements
- Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and survey documentation
- Coordinate daily with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to support production and schedule
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality control procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Survey Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor, or equivalent experience as a Professional Engineer in heavy civil construction xhyhwjd
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license
