About the role
About the Role:
This is a broad, high-impact operations role working directly alongside the founders of an early-stage AI infrastructure startup. You will be the operational backbone of the company, keeping founders, processes, and people running smoothly as the team moves fast and priorities shift daily.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate meetings, interviews, candidates, investors, customers, and external partners.
Help plan and run company events, offsites, dinners, conferences, and team activities.
Research and execute one-off projects including finding vendors, sourcing equipment, comparing options, and solving unexpected operational problems.
Track important follow-ups and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Build lightweight systems and processes that improve how the company operates day to day.
Work across recruiting, finance, office operations, customer operations, and other functions as needed.
Take ambiguous problems from open questions to fully resolved outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
Prior experience in operations, administrative, or coordinator roles in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to coordinate logistics, scheduling, or event planning at scale.
Experience researching vendors, sourcing equipment, or managing procurement.
Track record of building or implementing operational systems and workflows that improve efficiency.
Comfort working across multiple business functions such as recruiting, finance, and operations.
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with strong written and verbal communication skills.
High-agency mindset: you see a problem and your instinct is to solve it.
Resourceful and fast, unusually good at figuring things out independently or by finding the right person.
Strong judgment about when to act on your own versus escalation.
Experience with recruiting coordination or candidate management is a plus.
Prior experience supporting C-level executives or founders is a plus.
Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
