About the role

Attend Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences to become a Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Pay no tuition or fees and receive a full salary and benefits. A different type of anesthesia school for a different type of anesthesia provider. We prepare nurse anesthetists to provide independent high-quality anesthesia care in diverse settings across the globe. The rigorous curriculum is designed to integrate scientific principles with anesthesia theory and practice, stressing unique aspects of providing anesthesia on the battlefield as well as across the federal health care system. We emphasize statistics and research methodology enabling our students to critically analyze anesthesia literature and evaluate potential problems in anesthesia. Our graduates are safe, competent, adaptable anesthetists who can meet the challenges of today's federal health care needs.
Qualifications
Citizenship: Applicants must be United States citizens. Age: Applicants must complete degree and commission in the Navy before their 42nd birthday. Waivers will be considered on a case by case basis.
Education: Current graduate of a school of nursing accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education that conferred a baccalaureate or an advanced nursing degree.
License: Must possess a current, unrestricted license, in good standing, to practice as an RN issued by a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia, awarded upon successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination.
