About the role
Typesetter We are seeking an experienced Typesetter to join our publishing team in Los Angeles. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for print and digital publications. This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month.
Responsibilities:
Format and arrange text and images according to specific design guidelines
Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to ensure accurate and consistent layout
Proofread material for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
Utilize software programs such as Adobe InDesign to create layouts
Ensure that all text and images are properly aligned and visually appealing
Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
Proficient in Adobe InDesign and other publishing software
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors
Excellent time management skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Experience working in the publishing industry
Familiarity with different font styles and typesetting techniques
