Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays) 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in a full-time temp-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy forklifts in construction, steel, manufacturing, or other industrial environments. This position requires precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety while handling heavy and oversized materials.
Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a heavy forklift to transport materials throughout construction, industrial, or metal-handling facilities Load and unload heavy materials from trucks, storage areas, and production workstations Handle large, heavy, and irregularly shaped materials with care and efficiency Properly stack, secure, and transport materials to prevent damage and ensure workplace safety Perform daily forklift inspections and routine equipment maintenance checks Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as needed
Required Qualifications: Proven experience operating heavy forklifts in construction, steel, manufacturing, or industrial environments Ability to safely maneuver large and heavy loads with accuracy Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safe material handling practices Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification if required Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and in various weather environments Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe workplace Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials as required
Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling steel beams, metal products, or oversized industrial materials Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or metal fabrication environments Familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, or inventory control
