About the role
Valuation Analyst (41940)Our client is a growing professional services firm looking to add a Valuation Analyst to its Chicago-area team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with business valuation experience who enjoys both the technical side of the work and building relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Perform business valuations for closely held companies across a variety of purposes Build financial models and apply income, market, and asset-based valuation methodologies Prepare valuation reports, financial analyses, and supporting documentation Assist with litigation support, financial discovery, and expert witness preparation Work directly with attorneys, business owners, executives, and other clients Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client deliverables Participate in client development and relationship-building efforts
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field 3+ years of business valuation experience Experience within a valuation firm, accounting firm, litigation support practice, or similar environment Strong financial modeling, Excel, analytical, and report-writing skills Comfortable working directly with clients and presenting financial information Interest in developing business and growing client relationshipsCPA, ABV, ASA, CVA, or similar certification is a plus, but not required Litigation, family law, estate/gift tax, or transaction valuation experience is a plus Pay Transparency Statement: The compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program.
