Job Description:
We are now hiring a Sheet Metal Crew Foreman to join our team in Lugoff, SC.As crew foreman you will be responsible for leading and working alongside sheet metal mechanics, apprentices, and helpers. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations on-site, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating project activities to meet deadlines and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Lead, direct, and work alongside sheet metal mechanics, apprentices, and helpers. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. Lay out and install rectangular, round, and spiral ductwork, including fittings, transitions, offsets, dampers, and equipment connections. Install hangers, supports, anchors, and related duct-support systems. Measure, cut, modify, assemble, and install sheet metal components in the field. Coordinate installation with other trades and identify potential conflicts before they affect production. Determine material, equipment, and manpower needs for upcoming work. Inspect completed work for proper measurements, elevations, supports, sealing, and overall quality. Communicate progress, material needs, delays, and field issues to project supervision.
Qualifications:
5+ years of commercial/industrial sheet metal or HVAC duct installation experience preferred. Previous Foreman, Lead Mechanic, or Journeyman-level leadership experience. Strong blueprint reading, field layout, measuring, and fabrication skills. Proficient with standard sheet metal hand and power tools. Knowledge of duct installation, hanging, fastening, sealing, and reinforcement methods. Ability to independently plan work and lead a crew with limited supervision. OSHA 10/30, lift certification, and knowledge of SMACNA standards are preferred. Must be able to work from ladders and lifts, perform overhead work, bend, kneel, climb, and regularly lift up to approximately 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in active commercial and industrial construction environments.
Hours: 6a-430p (Monday-Thursday)
