Role Description: The Front Desk Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Merritt Island. This role is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering and directing incoming phone calls, and managing appointment scheduling and check-in/check-out procedures. Daily tasks include maintaining patient records and files, verifying basic information, handling incoming mail, and supporting other clerical activities to keep the front office organized. The receptionist also provides timely, courteous assistance to patients with questions, coordinates with clinical staff, and helps ensure that the front desk operates smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications: Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff. Demonstrated proficiency in reception duties and phone etiquette, including managing multi-line phone systems and directing calls appropriately. Clerical skills such as data entry, filing, appointment scheduling, and basic record keeping using office software and practice management systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow office procedures, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a medical or healthcare front desk setting is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in office administration or healthcare administration is a plus. Dependable attendance, professional appearance, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
