Disaster Response Crews Needed - Emergency POD Staffing (On-Call)
Overview: Cabildo Staffing is building a team of reliable, on-call personnel to support emergency response efforts throughout Louisiana. These positions are only activated when a natural disaster occurs (such as hurricanes, severe storms, or other emergency events).Selected candidates will be assigned to Points of Distribution (PODs) and warehouse sites, where essential supplies such as bottled water, Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs), and tarps are distributed to the community. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are flexible, dependable, and willing to help their community during critical times. Job Details
Location: Louisiana (various PODs and warehouses)
Position Type: Temporary / On-Call Assignment: Activated as needed during disaster events
Schedule: Variable (long shifts, including nights and weekends)
Pay: Varies by position and assignment Important Note These positions are NOT immediate or guaranteed employment. Candidates will be added to an availability list and contacted when emergency operations are activated. Availability on short notice is required. Available Positions 1. Forklift Operators (PODs & Warehouses)Operate forklifts (sit-down or rough terrain) to move supply pallets Work in outdoor, high-activity environments
Requirements: Valid forklift certification Valid driver's license Ability to operate safely in fast-paced, confined environments Cabildo Staffing may conduct on-site evaluations for experienced operators (does not apply to heavy equipment) 2. General Labor Staff (PODs)Load water, MREs, and tarps into vehicles Assist equipment operators Direct traffic and support site operations Perform light cleanup as needed
Requirements: Ability to repeatedly lift 25-40 lbs Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong teamwork attitude 3. Skid Steer Operators (Warehouse - Roseland, LA)Operate skid steer to move materials and debris Assist with site organization and logistics
Requirements: Valid skid steer certification (no on-site certification provided) Valid driver's license Prior heavy equipment experience Certification &
