Clubhouse Service Lead | FOH — TIDEWATERCharleston, SCTIDEWATER is a private community driven members-only club in Downtown Charleston featuring golf simulators, pickleball courts, a full bar and dining room, and an outdoor patio. We're looking for a Clubhouse Service Lead to build and run our bar program and lead front-of-house service.
Who you are: This individual is someone with extensive cocktail bar knowledge, with experience running a bar operation in its entirety This individual is looking to build out a bar service program they have full control over to assist in the development of TIDEWATER as it continues to grow it's first location. A bar manager who is looking to get away from the high volume late nights and move into more consistent and personal experiences that lasts over years to come. An independent thinker who feels comfortable being in charge and handling business on their own. A self motivated achiever always thinking about what the next step is to better the guests experience each time they attend a service in the clubhouse dining or bar areas. Schedule 36 hours/week — 30 hours of hands-on bar service, 6 hours of ordering and operational work. Reports to General Manager
Responsibilities: Execute & Develop Tidewater's cocktail and bar program, including menu, recipes, steps of service and ordering Work behind the bar as the primary bartender, leading service directly to better understand the processes and necessary service steps Build and document the processes and standards for bar and FOH service at Tidewater Handle ordering, and vendor relationships for the bar program Deliver a consistent, elevated service experience for members and guests Identify when service volume warrants additional bar staff, and help build that team out over time Coordinate with the kitchen and GM to ensure smooth, well-timed service Uphold Tidewater's appearance, conduct, and service standards Handle the bar program for all private events
Skills & Qualifications: Strong bartending skills with experience building or running a cocktail program Comfortable being hands-on behind the bar as the core of the role, not just managing others Self-starter who can build process and structure from the ground up Excellent communication and composure in a fast-paced, member-focused environment Private club or fine dining experience strongly preferred Be the founding force behind Tidewater's bar program, with the chance to grow a team around what you build.
