About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Consumer Lender - Support team member to join a financial services team in Porterville, California. This Long-term Contract position focuses on supporting consumer and mortgage lending activities by helping move loan files efficiently from application through closing while delivering dependable service to customers. The ideal candidate brings practical experience in loan administration and mortgage operations, along with the ability to handle payment and deposit-related tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day administration of consumer and mortgage loan files, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for each stage of processing.
Coordinate loan activities from origination through closing by reviewing file details, tracking progress, and following up on outstanding items.
Assist with mortgage processing tasks, including preparing records, verifying information, and maintaining organized loan documentation.
Facilitate closing-related activities by confirming required materials are in place and helping ensure transactions are completed on schedule.
Provide responsive customer service by answering questions, explaining loan-related procedures, and guiding clients through next steps.
Process payment collection activities and handle deposit transactions, including cash and check deposits, with a high level of accuracy and attention to compliance.
Work closely with internal lending and operations teams to help resolve file issues, improve turnaround times, and maintain smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate records and update loan information in internal systems to support reporting, auditing, and ongoing account servicing.
