About the role
To serve as the welcoming voice of the practice, the remote Telephone Operator will manage switchboard duties, including triaging calls and connecting patients with the appropriate departments, while providing clerical support as needed.
Key responsibilities
Courteously and efficiently answers all incoming calls and connects callers with the correct extension
Takes and relays messages accurately and in a timely manner, responding to emergency and urgent calls as necessary
Performs operator functions, including triaging calls, setting up conference calls, and reporting equipment malfunctions
Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 2-3 years of operator experience, preferably in a medical setting
