Role Description:
The Finance Officer is a part-time remote role responsible for managing and analyzing the company’s financial activities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with budgeting, monitoring cash flow, and supporting financial reporting for management and regulatory purposes. The role involves analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or revenue improvement. The Finance Officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify financial information, respond to inquiries, and ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting. This position requires regular use of digital tools and systems to perform finance-related tasks and maintain organized records in a remote work environment.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of Finance and Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Ability to perform Financial Reporting with attention to accuracy, compliance, and clarity for internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting data, identifying trends, and supporting informed financial decisions.
Effective Communication skills to explain financial information clearly and collaborate with team members and leadership.
Proficiency with accounting or finance software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools).Experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role; prior work in a small or mid-sized business environment is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage part-time workload independently in a remote setting.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
