About the role
Mail And Machine Room Technician The Bensalem Township School District is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Mail and Machine Room Technician to support district-wide printing, copying, mail distribution, and shipping operations. The Mail and Machine Room Technician is responsible for operating copy and mailroom equipment, processing district copy requests, distributing incoming and outgoing mail, managing supplies and inventory, and coordinating shipments and deliveries. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient communication and document services throughout the District.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operate copiers, laminators, binders, folding machines, paper cutters, postage meters, and related equipment.
Process and prioritize district-wide copy and print requests.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
Prepare and process outgoing U.S. mail and package shipments.
Coordinate deliveries with district staff and vendors.
Monitor and maintain inventories of paper, postage, and mailroom supplies.
Arrange equipment maintenance and service repairs as needed.
Answer telephone inquiries and provide support to district employees regarding mail and copy services.
Maintain accurate records related to copy production, postage, and inventory.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of pre-employment testing.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to operate office and production equipment safely and efficiently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Prior mailroom, copy center, shipping/receiving, or related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and heavier items as needed with assistance.
Ability to work safely around office and production equipment.
