About the role
Help Us Build the Next Stage of NOVA's GrowthNOVA Office Strategies is seeking an experienced freelance B2B marketing consultant to help grow our Print Fulfillment Center through a more consistent, strategic, and measurable approach to marketing and business development. We're a Charlotte-based commercial printing and fulfillment operation with more than 10 years of experience, backed by NOVA Office Strategies, a company with over 27 years in business. Our Print Fulfillment Center specializes in commercial printing, graphic design, signage, warehousing, inventory management, fulfillment, and nationwide distribution. We've built a strong operational foundation. Now we want to do a better job of telling our story, reaching the right prospects, staying connected with existing clients, and generating new business opportunities. We're not looking for someone to simply manage our social media. We're looking for a marketing partner who can help us determine where the best opportunities are — and then help us execute. WHAT WE'D LIKE HELP WITHThe exact strategy will be developed together, but initial priorities may include: • Reviewing our current marketing efforts and identifying opportunities • Improving website visibility and SEO • Strengthening our local search presence and Google Business Profile • Developing useful, relevant website content • Creating client success stories and case studies • Developing a consistent LinkedIn strategy • Creating a client email/newsletter program • Identifying opportunities for client retention, cross-selling and referrals • Developing practical B2B lead-generation initiatives • Tracking results and helping us understand what's workingWHO WE'RE LOOKING FORWe're interested in someone who: • Has demonstrated B2B marketing experience • Has worked with small to mid-sized businesses • Understands lead generation — not just brand awareness • Has experience with SEO, websites, email marketing and LinkedIn • Is a strong writer and communicator • Can think strategically while also helping execute • Is comfortable working independently • Uses data and measurable results to guide decisions • Is curious and willing to learn our business, our customers and our industry Experience with commercial printing, manufacturing, fulfillment, logistics, franchise organizations, healthcare or professional services would be a plus, but it's not required.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
We're not expecting someone to walk in and magically produce dozens of new customers in 90 days. We are looking for someone who can help us establish a strong marketing foundation, identify the right opportunities, begin executing against them, and create a repeatable system that can contribute to long-term growth. The initial engagement will be a 90-day pilot, with the potential to develop into an ongoing relationship if it's a good fit for both sides. ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT
- Independent contractor / freelance engagement
- Initial 90-day pilot
- Approximately 5–15 hours per month anticipated
- Flexible schedule
- Charlotte-area candidates are preferred, but we're open to the right person working remotely
- Occasional in-person meetings in Charlotte would be a plus You'll work directly with our Director of Operations & Business Development and have access to the people and information necessary to understand our business and develop effective recommendations.
INTERESTED?
Rather than sending us only a resume, we'd like to understand how you think. Please send us:1. A brief introduction and overview of your B2B marketing experience2. A link to your LinkedIn profile, website or portfolio3. One or two examples of businesses you've helped and the measurable results you achieved4. Your typical monthly retainer or pricing structure5. A few sentences about how you would initially approach marketing a commercial printing and fulfillment company like NOVA's PFC.If this sounds like the kind of engagement you'd enjoy, we'd like to hear from you.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
