About the role

Utility Operator The Utility Operator is responsible for supporting production operations and ensuring assembly processes used to produce roller chain are maintained and operated at high levels of efficiency. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure that all assembly processes used to produce roller chain are maintained and operated at high levels of efficiency. Retrieve and replace components from parts storage or prior processes to ensure continuous operation of equipment. Assist, train, and develop new metal components utilizing power presses, jigs, fixtures, and a variety of associated inspection equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements of the Utility Operator: Must have successfully completed an approved training program for setting up and operating all equipment in the assigned section. Must be able to measure and inspect assembled products. Basic mathematics skills are essential. Must be capable of handling somewhat heavy fixtures and parts. Must have the ability to identify various parts from engineering drawings used to produce chain products. Must be an active team member capable of communicating and working effectively and harmoniously with peers. Previous experience assembling metal components and utilizing power presses, jigs, fixtures, and inspection equipment is desirable. Compensation/Benefits for the Utility Operator:
