About the role
- Perform advanced CNC milling operations on vertical and horizontal machines
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot G-code to ensure flawless production
- Mentor and support fellow machinists, sharing your knowledge and experience
- Apply your proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to produce accurate parts
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify part quality and conformance
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members to optimize processes and resolve machining challenges
- Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and shop standards
- 4+ years of CNC machining experience in a machine shop environment or completion of Journeyman papers with 2+ years of experience
- Expert knowledge of CNC milling techniques and machining practices
- Strong math skills, including trigonometry and geometry
- Proficient in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and applying GD&TSkilled in using precision measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, bend, stoop, and twist comfortably
- High school diploma or GEDPreferred Skills, Education, & Experience:
- Experience with 3+2 axis machining
- Proficiency with Mastercam CNC programming
- An associate's degree or technical certification in a related field
