About the role

Heavy Equipment Mechanic This position involves maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy machinery, including snow groomers, tractors, trucks, and other equipment essential to our resort operations.
Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on snow groomers, tractors, trucks, and other heavy machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Conduct safety inspections to ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards. Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure equipment is ready for daily use. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures during maintenance tasks.
Requirements: Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools. Must be physically able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
