Electrician – Journeyman + About UsUr-Energy is a uranium mining company. Our Lost Creek operation produces uranium using in-situ recovery (ISR), and we're hiring a Journeyman Electrician to keep our wellfields, processing plant, and site facilities running safely and reliably.
What You'll Do: •    Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across the site, including wellfields, the processing facility, offices, and support buildings•    Connect power lines to wellfield transformers and motor control centers (MCCs) to bring new production areas online•    Wire and connect header houses, instrumentation, low-voltage systems, MCCs, and PLC panels•    Install and maintain medium-voltage (up to 34.5 kV) overhead and underground power systems•    Diagnose equipment failures using test equipment, and perform circuit and continuity testing•    Inspect systems for hazards and code compliance, and advise management when equipment is unsafe to operate•    Perform basic PLC, DCS, and VFD programming related to electrical maintenance and installation•    Plan wiring layouts and installations to meet job specifications and Wyoming electrical and safety codes•    Specify and recommend electrical materials, and work with vendors on orders•    Communicate project needs and safety requirements to supervisors and coworkers•    Respond to off-hours call-outs at Lost Creek What You Bring•    Journeyman Electrician license or higher (must be kept current while employed)•    Residential, commercial, and industrial electrical experience•    Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and VFD systems and instrumentation•    Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record•    Comfortable using a computer for procurement, documentation, and maintenance tasks•    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written•    Ability to read and follow drawings, diagrams, and written instructions•    Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages Work Environment & Physical Requirements•    Includes outdoor work in all Wyoming weather conditions•    Regularly lift 25 lbs., frequently 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.•    Frequent climbing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, with occasional work at heights•    Exposure to energized equipment, moving machinery, loud noise, fumes, and chemicals•    May need to wear a respirator•    This is a uranium facility, so there is potential exposure to low-level radiation•    Must follow all company safety policies and applicable electrical codes Ur-Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
