About the role

Our client are a regulated Fin Tech business operating across cross-border payments and digital assets is seeking a part-time Senior Compliance Officer. This is a hands-on operational role — the work is casework, decisions and documentation. The immediate scope is reviewing and approving RFIs and responses, and assessing institutional counterparty onboarding and offboarding cases. This would ideally suit someone looking to take on part-time/fractional work, who can be available at short notice. There is also the potential to take on more responsibility at a BSA level.
Responsibilities: Review, challenge and approve requests for information and the responses to them Assess institutional counterparty onboarding cases and make documented accept, decline or escalate decisions Handle offboarding cases, including the rationale and record-keeping supporting each exit Apply the firm's risk appetite and onboarding standards consistently across corridors and counterparty types Document decisions to an audit- and examination-ready standard, with clear reasoning and supporting evidence Identify and escalate exceptions, policy gaps and cases falling outside agreed parameters
Experience required: Hands-on US BSA/AML compliance experience in a regulated fintech, payments or digital-assets business Hands-on track record of personally working cases — KYB, EDD, RFI review, onboarding and offboarding decisions Exposure to institutional counterparties (banks, PSPs, OTC desks, asset managers), FX or cross-border payments; digital-asset experience a strong advantage Sound, well-evidenced decision-making with a demonstrable standard of written rationale and record-keeping We are committed to equal opportunity and welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
