Role Description:
The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including administering HR policies, assisting with employee benefits programs, and handling benefits-related inquiries. The HR Generalist will coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, maintain employee records, and support compliance with employment laws and internal procedures. Additional responsibilities include assisting with employee relations, supporting performance management processes, and collaborating with management to improve HR practices that align with Ferrosource’s business objectives.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess skills in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management to support daily HR operations and strategic initiatives.
Candidates should possess skills in HR Policies to develop, interpret, and administer guidelines that align with legal and organizational standards across multiple states and locations.
Candidates should possess skills in Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration to manage benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality in handling employee information.
Experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment, and familiarity with relevant employment laws.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
