Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Assistant Fire Helicopter Supervisor)As a Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Assistant Fire Helicopter Supervisor) of a Helitack Crew your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Performs administrative program management functions such as planning, budget execution, and stewardship of facilities, equipment, vehicles, and accountable property. Applies an experienced understanding of aviation safety, fire behavior, topography of the area weather, fuels, and training in fire management. Plans, coordinates, and directs helicopter operations in support of mission requirements. Recommends and implements tactical strategies in the field. Indian preference will be applied to candidates that are interested in applying for the position in the following location only: Crow Agency, MT Indian preference will NOT be applied to those candidates interested in applying to locations not listed above.
