About the role
- Workers' Compensation
- Manage and coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial injury reporting through claim resolution
- Prepare and maintain injury reports, claim documentation, and related HR records
- Communicate with employees, supervisors, insurance carriers, claims administrators, and medical providers as needed
- Monitor open claims and follow up on claim status, restrictions, return-to-work dates, and required documentation
- Coordinate modified duty and return-to-work processes
- Maintain accurate workers' compensation files and ensure timely reporting
- Support OSHA-related injury documentation and workplace safety reporting as applicable
- Fluent bilingual Spanish and English required
- Previous Human Resources experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, Benefits Coordinator, Workers' Compensation Coordinator, or similar capacity
- Hands-on experience with Workers' Compensation and/or Benefits Administration
- Strong preference for candidates experienced in both Workers' Compensation and Benefits
- Understanding of HR confidentiality and employee documentation requirements
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple employee matters simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with employees at all levels
- Ability to work 100% onsite in South Gate, CA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMHighly Preferred
- Experience supporting warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, furniture, or other high-volume hourly workforces
- Experience managing workers' compensation claims in environments with a higher volume of workplace injuries
- Benefits enrollment and open enrollment experience
- Experience coordinating return-to-work and modified-duty programs
- Familiarity with California HR and workers' compensation requirementsHRIS experience
