About the role

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Reliable Health Care Services is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in the Pill Room at Northern Nevada Correctional Center. This role focuses on high-volume medication administration in a secure correctional setting. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in structured environments with strict protocols. Summary of Responsibilities: Prepare and administer medications during scheduled pill pass with a focus on accuracy and efficiency Follow direct observation protocols to ensure medications are taken appropriately Maintain medication administration records and process new orders and refills Monitor patients for side effects and report concerns to nursing or medical staff Manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, in compliance with regulations Coordinate with custody staff to ensure safe and efficient medication distribution Support additional nursing duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active Nevada LPN license
  • At least 1 year of LPN experience
  • Experience with medication administration and documentation
  • Ability to work in a secure correctional environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Correctional or high-volume setting experience preferred
