Our client is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Market President to lead the growth and development of our market presence in Lincoln Nebraska. This individual will serve as the face of the bank in the community, with a primary focus on residential mortgage lending, relationship banking, and market development. They will also lead a team of 3-4 individuals and support their growth and development. The ideal candidate is an experienced lender who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role and is passionate about building a business, serving clients, and making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
Job Responsibilities: Develop and grow a residential mortgage loan portfolio through referrals, networking, and relationship development. Serve as the primary residential lender for the market. Meet with prospective borrowers to assess financing needs and recommend loan solutions. Manage the mortgage process from application through closing while ensuring excellent customer service. Develop referral relationships with real estate agents, builders, attorneys, financial advisors, and other community partners. Represent client throughout the community and actively participate in civic and business organizations. Develop new banking relationships and expand existing customer relationships. Identify opportunities for deposit growth, consumer lending, and commercial banking services. Serve as a trusted financial advisor for individuals, families, and small business owners. Lead market growth initiatives and execute strategic business development plans. Work collaboratively with bank leadership to establish lending, deposit, and profitability goals. Mentor and support local staff while fostering a culture of exceptional client service. Act as a community ambassador for client. Maintain strong credit quality by performing sound underwriting and portfolio management practices. Manage an individual lending authority of up to $500,000. Monitor loan performance and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements: Preferred 7+ years of lending experience. Previous leadership, team management, or market development experience. Community involvement and established local relationships. Experience with residential lending. RequiredMinimum of 5-7 years of banking or lending experience. Proven success developing customer relationships and generating new business. Experience in residential mortgage lending. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of consumer and retail banking products.
